Alphanumeric characters identifying bottle type (e.g. NIS representing Niskin and GF representing GOFLO) and position on a CTD rosette. PI-supplied values were identical to those in the intermediate US GEOTRACES master file. Originally submitted as 'BTLNBR'; this parameter name has been changed to conform to BCO-DMO's GEOTRACES naming conventions.
